Principal
Dimi established Melbourne Construction Lawyers in February 2025 with over 20 years’ experience working in the industry. Dimi has extensive experience in all areas of Contracts including drafting contracts, contract negotiations, deed agreements and subcontracts.
Dimi has wide experience in litigation, including advising clients in all jurisdictions in Victoria.
Dimi has advised clients in construction and building disputes, general commercial litigation and adjudication applications.
Dimi is an accredited business law specialist with the Law Institute of Victoria.
Elias Giannakopoulos

Elias has over 35 years’ experience in the Building and Construction Law area. Elias regularly advises a wide range of participants in the building and construction industry on all aspects of Contract Administration including drafting Contracts, Contract reviews and preparation of ancillary documents.
Elias also has extensive experience in the management of Building and Construction disputes including dispute management and early resolution advice, negotiation and mediation and appearance in Courts and Tribunal.
Tim Mulcahy

Tim has been practising for over 20 years and has extensive experience in commercial litigation matters acting on behalf of domestic and commercial builders, owners, subcontractors, property developers and owners corporations across all Victorian and Federal jurisdictions.
Matters Tim has acted on include contract disputes, claims under the Domestic Building Contracts Act 1995, the Building Act 1993 and the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 2002.
Moses Mkusa
Senior Associate
Moses is a construction and commercial lawyer, with over five years’ experience advising clients across both the public and private sectors.
Moses has acted for a Victorian Government agency as well as private industry participants, giving him a well-rounded understanding of the legal, regulatory, and commercial frameworks that underpin construction projects in Victoria.
Moses has experience in the drafting and negotiation of tender documentation, construction contracts, and consultancy agreements. His experience spans the full project lifecycle - from procurement and contract formation through to project delivery - allowing him to provide practical, commercially focused legal advice tailored to the needs of each client.
Michelle Marchio

Michelle is an experienced building and construction disputes and commercial disputes lawyer who has acted for builders, developers, owners, and contractors in matters involving defect claims, insurance claims, and other contractual and statutory claims.
Michelle regularly represents clients in proceedings across multiple jurisdictions, including VCAT, the County Court, and the Supreme Court. She provides strategic and practical advice across all stages of a dispute, assisting clients with early risk management, effective negotiation, and the conduct of litigation with a focus on achieving commercially sensible outcomes.

Jarvis is a junior construction lawyer with a focus on contract advisory, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance within the construction and infrastructure sectors.
